LOA 101

What is Law of Attraction? It isn’t the Law of Get What I Want, as some may think. It is, rather, the drawing to us of events, circumstances, people – life, in short – that match our emotions, our vibrations.

Law of Attraction teaches us that we create our experiences, our reality, with our emotions. In other words, our experiences are a reflection of our emotions, our vibration. Happy and sad, positive and negative, up and down – our emotions tumble out of us all day, every day. Someone said something that you found offensive. You heard a funny story and laughed over it. A mix of emotions that runs all along the spectrum from good to bad. It isn’t a surprise, then, that our experiences are mixed. You created some small things that are quite pleasant, spiced up with a gnarly traffic jam. And that thing you want so very, very, badly is nowhere in sight. Deliberate creation is all about our emotions and the corresponding vibration that radiates out from us because of these emotions. Deliberate creation is about recognizing and controlling our vibration.

With that in mind, perhaps you might need to work a little to get your vibration in harmony with the vibration of your desire. For example, do you really believe you will get what you have asked for? This is a significant question when the particular desire you’re after feels light-years from where you are. Significant because our experiences reflect our words only when those words are in alignment with our emotions. If you are saying you really, really want something, but your belief says there is no logical way you can get this, you won’t get it. Despite the words you say, your emotions, and therefore your vibration, say “I can’t get that.” It is the vibration, not the words, that summons the experience. This is why visualizing yourself enjoying your desire is so valuable. Each time you go into your visualization, you become more familiar with the feeling of having the desire – more familiar with believing that you will have it. Don’t be confused about the purpose for this visualization exercise. It isn’t for the universe. The universe knows what you want. It is for you. Each time you visualize yourself having the desire, you bring yourself closer into vibrational harmony with having the desire.

But what if you believe you have been doing all the right things and you still haven’t received that thing you want so very badly? You know, that thing you have been so definite about, and have made your desire for so clear to the universe?

Maybe when you were visualizing the desire, you weren’t feeling the having of the desire, but the lack of the desire. It’s easy to tell if you were. Ask yourself how you would feel if you never received this desire. If you can’t say “fabulously happy,” you have an attachment to that outcome. In other words, when you visualize that desire, your emotions speak to the lack of it in your life.

You must be happy to attract happy. If you are chasing happiness – looking to manifestations of your desires to bring you a happiness you don’t already have – you are, in effect expecting to reach happiness from a place that is less than happy. But that isn’t how Law of Attraction works. From a space of less than happy, you will continue to attract manifestations that make you less than happy, leaving that so very important desire of yours out of reach.

So, you must find that fabulously happy feeling where you are. Look for things to be happy about where you are. Celebrate these good things. Write them down. Think about them. And as you look for things to be happy about where you are, you will see more and more to celebrate. Linger in that happiness. Enjoy it, knowing that you created it. This is how you deliberately create your experiences.
